Publishing the Embedded Checkout

Learn how to publish your embedded checkout form.

When you create a checkout form, it initially starts in test mode, allowing you to thoroughly test all processes before going live. During integration in test mode, a test mode token is used.

After completing all tests, you need to publish the form to start accepting real payments.

Before going live, automatic checks are performed to ensure a smooth user experience and compliance with legal requirements. If any issues are found, you will receive warnings and the form cannot be published until these are resolved.

  • If Zotlo payment methods are selected but bank details (e.g., IBAN) are missing, you will be prompted to complete this information. Please navigate to your Account Settings to update your payment details.

  • If your merchant agreement has not been submitted for review, is under review, or has been rejected, publishing will be blocked. The agreement must be approved before proceeding. Track your agreement status in Account Settings.

  • If the “Show merchant text” setting is active in the form footer but Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions URLs are not provided, you will receive a warning. These links are mandatory for legal compliance and can be set in Project Settings.

  • If email notifications are enabled, a Support link and at least one Download URL must be filled to assist your customers. You can configure these in Project Settings.

  • If Apple Pay or Google Pay are among your payment methods and any of your domains are in “pending” or “awaiting verification” status, these payment methods will be inactive until verification is complete. If no domains are added, you must configure your domains on the Payment Methods page.

  • If no sales package (product or service) is added on your payment page, publishing will be blocked as there is nothing to sell. Add at least one package in the Checkout Link editing screen.

  • Missing Bonus/Discount Text (Theme 3): If you use Theme 3 and the bonus/discount text option is active but no default description is provided, a warning will appear. The edit popup will direct you to the editing screen to enter the required text.
